In addition, our attorneys have represented employers, as well as executives and employees, in the negotiation of employment contracts and severance agreements, and in a wide variety of other employment issues.
Restrictive Covenants. Our attorneys have litigated cases involving non-competition, non-disclosure, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements in courts and arbitral forums throughout the country. Our attorneys also have assisted employers in drafting employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, and corporate policies, guidelines and manuals to protect confidential information, customer lists, proprietary business material and other trade secrets.
Commercial Litigation and Arbitration. Our attorneys have represented individuals and businesses in a wide variety of complex commercial litigation and arbitrations in courts and tribunals throughout the country. Our attorneys also have provided insurance defense representation to numerous carriers, focusing on professional malpractice liability and general tort liability. Our attorneys aggressively and creatively litigate on behalf of our clients and successfully effect advantageous settlements when appropriate.

Lou is an experienced employment and civil litigator with a diverse skill set that involves counseling clients on compliance with federal and state laws governing employer-employee relations and union-management relations as well as handling employment litigations. His litigation experience includes a wide range of actions, including discharge and contract arbitrations, breach of employment contract, wrongful discharge, restrictive covenants, and the handling of administrative investigations before federal, state and city agencies. He has extensive experience handling all phases of litigation, including jury trials and appeals before federal and state courts.
Prior to forming GTS, Lou was a member of Reppert Kelly & Satriale, a special counsel in the Employment Practices Group at Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman, counsel in the Employment Group at Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle, and in the Employment Group at Jackson Lewis. Lou received his B.A. from Fordham University in 1984 and his J.D. from St. John's University in 1987.

Joe represents management in the area of employment litigation and personnel management and procedure. He has defended cases involving claims of sex, age, race, religion and disability discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, unfair labor practice charges, and wage and pension claims. In addition, Joe has represented employers and employees in connection with restrictive covenants and also advises clients on a full range of issues relating to human resources administration, including wage/hour, unemployment, disability, family and medical leave, severance, and immigration issues. Joe has represented clients in discrimination and restrictive covenant litigations in state and federal courts throughout the United States, as well as in arbitrations before the NASD and the American Arbitration Association.
Prior to forming GTS, Joe was in the Employment Practices Group of Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman and in the Labor and Employment Group of Mayer, Brown & Platt. Joe received his B.A. from Cornell University in 1993 and his J.D., order of the coif, from Fordham University in 1996.
